HARRISBURG – The Lancaster County House Republican delegation – State Reps. Bryan Cutler (R-Peach Bottom), Mindy Fee (R-Manheim), Keith J. Greiner (R-Upper Leacock), Dave Hickernell (R-West Donegal), Steve Mentzer (R-Lititz), Brett Miller (R-East Hempfield) and Dave Zimmerman (R-East Earl) – issued the following statement regarding the Sunday terrorist attack in Orlando, Fl., that left nearly 50 dead and over 50 wounded:

“On Sunday in Orlando, Americans suffered the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11. This tragic loss of life is a stark reminder of the dangers freedom-loving people face from extremists who try to impose their sick ideology on the rest of the world.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to every victim of this terrorist attack and we mourn with the families who grieve the loss of their loved ones. France has suffered two such attacks recently, one at a newspaper and another at a nightclub. The motive and pattern of the cowards who perpetrate these atrocities is clear.

“As our nation mourns and begins to learn more about this truly despicable act, we believe it is important for us not to rush to judgment, but rather support the victims in any way we can and to stand firm as a nation against extremists, like ISIS, who attempt to use fear to destroy our way of life and the freedoms we hold dear.”
