DENVER - Rep. Mindy Fee (R-Manheim) is hosting an informational event on Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) on Thursday, Oct. 18. The event will be held at the Denver Borough Hall, 501 Main St. in Denver, and run from 6 to 8 p.m.

Speakers will include Dustin Stoner, information and education supervisor for the Southeast Region of the Pennsylvania Game Commission, and Kevin Brightbill, assistant director of the Bureau of Animal Health and Diagnostic Services for the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, hunters should continue to enjoy deer and elk hunting in Pennsylvania. However, with the discovery of CWD, hunters should become familiar with the restrictions in the regulations.

Fee is co-hosting this event with Rep. Jim Cox (R-Berks/Lancaster). There is no charge to attend, but attendees must RSVP. They may do so online at RepFee.com or by calling Fee’s district office at 717-664-4979.
