Damaged License Plate Event

I'm co-hosting a drive-through event with Sen. Ryan Aument to check damaged plates and start the free replacement process with PennDOT.

Tuesday, Aug. 27 | 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Grace Church, 501 W. Lincoln Ave., Lititz

Damaged plates have loss of reflectivity, peeling, blistering or dislocation, and they cannot be read from 50 feet away. At the event, officers from the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department will determine if a motorist’s plate needs replaced. A PennDOT representative will be on hand to help with completing the appropriate paperwork. Once PennDOT receives the paperwork, the replacement plate will be mailed to the motorist’s home address.

Attendees will be in and out in just a few minutes.

Two items of note:

- We can only process your form if you bring along your unexpired PA driver’s license and current vehicle registration card. Please drive the vehicle with the damaged license plate to the event so that the police officer can assess it.

- This event will only be for those with standard or personalized plates. Specialty plates such as those for veterans, PA zoos, college alumni, etc. cannot be processed at this event. If you have a specialty plate with damage, you'll need to work directly with PennDOT on a replacement.

There’s no charge, but you must RSVP to attend. The deadline to RSVP for the license plate event is Friday, August 16. So we can prepare enough materials, please RSVP using the form below. Please call my office at 717-664-4979 if you have additional questions.
